It all began in 1983...

She was a teen model for Jabot Cosmetics. He was a Rock Star on the verge of success. She dreamed of meeting him. Traci Abott made her wish came true and they met at Jabot. They went to his sister's restaurant Gina's for a soda and really hit it off and became friends. However, Danny didn't think of Cricket than anything more as he was involved with another woman Gwen. Cricket stood by and waited as she knew in her heart that Danny was the one and waited as she knew one day they'd be together.

One night, Danny's world changed as Shawn Garrett an agent of Lauren Fenmore's arranged for record producers to come to Danny and Lauren's concert. Shawn wanted Danny out of the picture so the agents would only see Lauren. Shawn poisoned Danny's drink so Lauren could perform alone and get the contract. Danny became violently ill and was rushed to the hospital. His prognosis for singing again was grim. He thought his voice was gone forever. Cricket stood by Danny's side and helped him and one night on Christmas Eve, a miracle was given and Danny regained his voice. (what an episode)

Gwen and Danny broke up and the two began to see each other more and more. The two then helped two troubled pregnant teenage girls Nina and Molly checked into home for un-wed mothers. This home turned out to be a black-market baby selling ring. Eventually Danny and Cricket reunited Molly with her mom and she went home. Nina however wasn't so lucky and her child was sold. The two became closer and then one night, Danny thought they should see other people but that idea was put to the halt when they finally kissed and the fireworks began!

The two dated all summer filled with romance and fun times but at the end of the summer in 1987, Danny decided that Cricket was too young and wanted her to experience life and date other men to see if he was the one she really wanted. Heartbroken she agreed.

Cricket was introduced to Phillip Chancellor III and they became friends but Cricket still loved Danny. Eventually they became closer and fell in love. Danny and Cricket were almost reunited but other people always found ways to keep them apart. By the time Danny realized his mistake it was too late. Both Phillip and Danny proposed to Cricket but she chose Phillip in hopes that she would be able to help Phillip conquer his drinking problem. After many problems, Phillip and Cricket broke up. Danny was there for Cricket as a friend and then at his Annual Summer Concert the two were officially reunited June 17th, 1988.

Things were going great for the couple. Danny had reunited with his father, his career was taking off. Cricket had reunited with her mother, her career and school were great. The next morning Cricket was all set to go on a cruise her and her mom (Jessica) had planned only Jessica left Cricket a note stating she had left Genoa City and was not planning on coming back. Cricket was devastated and called Danny. He was there for her. Cricket eventually found her mom at Genoa City Memorial and learnt that her mom had AIDS. Danny stood by her side as Jessica eventually got better and married John Abbott.

Danny and Cricket wrote a song together called "Save the Earth" for Danny's upcoming second concert of the year. Danny became ill a day before the concert and Cricket stood by his side and nursed back to health for the concert, with the help of Genoa City's new doctor Scott Grainger. Scott was also looking over the care of Jessica and so he and Cricket became friends. That night after the concert, Danny arranged for a private dinner in his dressing room with Cricket. Danny told her they were meant to be together and they said they would each think about a committment.

Nina and Phillips's son became seriously ill and Cricket wanted to be there for Phillip much to Danny's dismay. Danny even called Phillip on it and Cricket was not happy with him doing that, stating that Phillip needed her as a friend. Cricket decided at that point in her life, she wasn't ready for a committment but they continued to see each other.

Danny and Cricket next took on the task of helping Nina become a better person in hopes that Phillip would take notice and they could be a family. Cricket even convinced Danny to let Nina and child Phillip Chancellor IV move in with Danny. After many hours of work, Nina eventually changed and she and Phillip began dating and eventually married with Cricket and Danny standing up for them.

Scott and Cricket began seeing more and more of each other. Danny's career was really beginning to take off. One night while at Scott's, Cricket saw a photo of Scott's father that looked remarkably like her father. Cricket began spending even more time with him in hopes of finding the father she never knew but started falling for the doctor. She and Danny apparently had broken up. Scott proposed marriage to Cricket and she accepted (I have no idea why, I don't think she loved him) It was revealed that indeed Scott's father was Crickets' father and the engagment was off. Danny went on tour with a broken heart.

Danny returned now and again for a concert to help fight Drinking and Driving as Phillip was killed while drinking and driving. He wanted to check and see how Nina was doing. At this time Cricket was dating Derek Stuart. At the concert Derek saw Cricket kiss Danny and became jealous. After a month or so of dating, Derek changed Cricket's life forever when he date-raped her. Cricket decided to not call Danny as she didn't want to disrupt his concert tour. Eventually Danny found out and rushed home to be by her side. Once alone they embraced and held her and told her he was so sorry. Cricket told Danny that it was to bad her first time had to be with a guy like Derek because it could've been so special. As we look at Danny's face heartbroken for her. Danny did a concert to help the victims of date-rape. With Danny's encouragment and support, Cricket told her story at the concert.

Danny went back on tour and Cricket continued her career. Danny eventually came back to Genoa City and his first stop was Nina's to see Cricket in 1990. She was living there. Cricket's face lit up when she saw Danny waiting for her at the end of the stairway. The two started dating again and it was magic all over again. Danny, Cricket and Chase were all very concerned that Nina was dating David Kimble. They felt he was after Nina's money. (Nina inherited millions when Phillip died) As hard as they tried they could not convince Nina otherwise. Nina married David and so Cricket needed a new place to live.

Danny asked Cricket to move in with him. She was hesitant. She knew she was in love with Danny but wasn't ready for a deeper commitment with him. Danny proposed that they be roommates and to see how they got along being roommates before moving onto something more. Cricket followed her heart and said yes!

Cricket moved in and the couple continued to fall more in love every day. Danny was preparing for his annual summer concert. He asked Cricket to dance at the concert. Danny asked Cricket to go to Newark to do her dance number as he had a charity concert to do there. He then told her after the concert he had arranged for the two of them to go to New York for a romantic weekend where he would ask her a very important question. One that he hoped she would say yes to. David had given Nina a brooch but had broken and Cricket said she would take it with her to Newark to get fixed as that was where the broach was made. David feared Danny and Cricket would learn his past so he decided to frame Danny for drug possession. Danny went back to pick up things in his dressing room and the cops arrested him.

For the next few months, Danny, Cricket and friend/lawyer John Silva fought the drug charges. This was one of the lowest points in Danny's life. One evening, Cricket decided she would surprise Danny with something he wanted more than anything, to be married. She proposed to him. However Danny didn't want to begin marriage with this dark cloud hanging over them. Danny was cleared of the drug charges as the police didn't obtain a search warrant. Danny then proposed to Cricket and they began to plan their wedding. However the tabloids reported that "Danny beat the drug rap due to a technicality. Danny could not stand that people still thought he was guilty of selling drugs to kids. Thinking that he would do Cricket more harm than good, Danny decided to break up with Cricket and leave town. That plan went south, when Cricket discovered evidence that would clear Danny of the charges. In an unprecedented move, Danny requested to go back to court and prove his innocence. It worked, and after months of ups and downs, Danny was cleared of the charges! At the courtroom, Danny asked Cricket how she felt about going to Hawaii and getting married. She happily agreed.

Rex, Leanna, Gina, Scott and David and Nina joined the happy couple and went to Maui. Scott gave Cricket away, Rex was Danny's best man and Nina, Cricket's bridesmaid. The couple was treated to a Luau and then they retreated back to their honeymoon suite and spent their first night together as husband and wife. Their honeymoon was full of romance with a picnic on beach, helicopter ride around Hawaii, a moonlight cruise and a romantic dinner on the terrace. It was this night that the couple began to suspect that David may have framed Danny.

The couple returned home and began their new life together as husband and wife. Christmas was around the corner and the couple had the best time decorating their first Christmas tree, while Danny planted mistletoe strategically around their apartment. Friends and family joined them for their Christmas Eve together.

Danny and Cricket spent the majority of the first six months of their marriage proving that David was not trustworthy and had an ulterior motive. Their efforts paid off and they found evidence. David had murdered his ex-wife. David's mistress revealed that it was David who framed Danny for drugs. However, they were too late in telling Nina what they knew. She had found some evidence on her own and took matters into her own hands and shot David which paralyzed him. Nina was found not guilty and she and Phillip moved in with Danny and Cricket to get back on their feet. (This provided us with cute scenes as little Phillip walked in on Danny and Cricket during their private moments lol) Nina's mother returned and Nina and Phillip moved back into their old apartment. Meanwhile, David faked his death and began plotting revenge on Nina, Cricket and Danny.

The couple then took on a task of helping Julie Sanderson, a college student, who was pregnant and addicted to cocaine. This was not an easy task as she was in denial and put them thru many trials and tribulations. Eventually the couple got thru to her and got her into rehab. Julie miscarried and returned home with her parents.

The next main event was Genoa City's Masquerade Ball. This event was where David planned his revenge on Danny, Cricket and Nina. David dressed in the same costume as Danny. David lured Danny out to the terrace and shot him. David then went back for Cricket and Nina. Thinking he was Danny, they went with "David" for a walk. It was then where he revealed himself and shot them both. However, David's plan was foiled when mistress Diane replaced the bullets with fakes and warned the trio of David's plan. David succumbed to death as he fell into a garbage compactor witnessed by Danny and Cricket.

Danny grew concerned that Cricket was spending all her time studying and not having any fun. He encouraged her to return to modeling. She then met Dru Barber. Dru wanted to become a model. Dru begged and pleaded with Danny and Cricket to help her become a model. Together, they helped her and she began her modeling career. Dru almost got Neil, Nina, Danny and Cricket killed when she answered a "modeling" job and it turned out to be a porno movie and directors pulled a gun on them when they refused to do the "modeling." The five eventualy over-powered the two and a valuable lesson was learnt by Dru.

Danny and Cricket finally had a celebration as Rex and Katherine decided to re-marry. Danny was Rex's best man. Cricket then took an internship/job at the law office of Whitman, Walker and Wilson. She mentored with legal eagle, Michael Baldwin. Tension and arguments began building as Cricket began spending long hours at the office. She was promoted due to the great she was doing. Danny trusted his wife and was supportive but he knew something wasn't right. Michael made a move on Cricket and sexually harassed her. Danny and Cricket began the next battle in their marriage. They needed to prove that Michael was sexually harassing her. The law partners would not believe Cricket's accusations. Danny hatched a plan that hopefully get Michael. The two faked a separation in hopes that Michael would think that Cricket's free and would feel free to make moves. His plan worked. However, the separation was very hard on the couple as they were forced to spend time and distance apart. Danny and John Silva (their lawyer) wired Cricket to record conversations with Michael. At a hotel room, Michael told Cricket that if she didn't sleep with him, she'd lose her job. Michael figured out she was wired and attacked her to get the tape recorder. Thankfully John and Danny were next door and saved her. Michael got the tape and threw it over the terrace.

Eventually Danny and Cricket got the tape back and took the tape to law partners and th fired Michael. He wasn't down long when another company hired him. Cricket found this out and with Danny's support, she filed a complaint and was determined to have Michael disbarred. The trial began and Michael realized that he was losing. So he hired Rebecca to come and woo Danny. Danny didn't return any feelings. Michael had Rebecca slip a drug into Danny's tea and Danny fell asleep. Meanwhile, Michael arranged to have a woman and photographer come to the apartment (Rebecca left the door unlocked) and take pictures of this woman and Danny in compromising positions. Seeing the photo of Danny with another woman, hurt Cricket terribly and things were distant between them. Baldwin used the photos to discredit Danny and Cricket's testimony that they had a solid, loving and happy marriage. This tactic didn't work and the judges panel found Michael guilty of sexual harassment and he was censured by the State Supreme Court. Cricket and Danny realized that Michael was the one who had the pictures taken and their marriage was back on track.

Danny received word that he was chosen to play Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's play "Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat." Danny originally turned down the role as he didn't want to leave Cricket alone as he feared Michael would retaliate. Cricket told him to take the role as she would be fine. Danny accepted the role and he left for a month for practice in New York. While Danny was away he hired a Nathan of Williams Investigations to watch over Cricket at all times. This derailed Michaels plans so he went thru the adjacent apartment where he and Hillary (his wife of a few months) lived and the Romalotti's closet and cut a hole thru the wall. One evening, Nina came by to have supper and Michael gagged her and put her in the bathroom. Cricket came home, talked to Danny and then went upstairs to their bedroom and Michael attempted to rape and murder her. Paul came to their rescue and shot Michael. Danny returned home hoping to see his wife but Paul intercepted and warned him of what had happened while he was away. Danny returned home to Cricket and they were reunited. Danny then went to the hospital and attempted to beat up Michael but the police and security pulled him off.
